I'm a fan of the Witcher series and fell in love with the armour worn by Geralt in S2. It's such a striking piece, credit to Lucinda Wright for the design!

To recreate the armour in cake I had to delve into the world of real life sculpting. I could now write an essay on the challenges around real life sculpting, vegan cake carving and then photographing said works! Real-life sculpting is a challenge in itself, a true art form, add to that the challenges of using edible mediums. Cake carving is also challenging, using vegan cakes adds an extra element of difficulty to this. Then finally, the most unexpected challenge was trying to capture on camera what the naked eye see's. The difference really shocked me! I now fully understand why people on TV wear so much make up and why photo shoots comprise of 1000's of shots!

I attempted the cake 3 times and although I did improve, there is still room for more improvement. It was a fun challenge and I'm now in awe of anyone who has mastered those arts. You really won't know how hard it is until you try!
